Children and Youth Services has several initiatives to help child care programs find and keep qualified staff.

Staff Attraction Incentive Allowance
The Staff Attraction Incentive Allowance provides an allowance to recruit eligible trained staff who have left the child care field and agree to return to work in a licensed day care centre, contracted family day home agency, or a licensed school-age child care program.

Careers in Child Care for High School Students
For high school students who want to pursue child care as a career, Alberta Children and Youth Services provides a $2,500 High School Child Care Scholarship to attend post-secondary programs in early learning and child care education.
