Marlene Proctor of Fort McMurray and Carrie McGillivray of High Prairie are the recipients of the 2007 Human Services Worker Award. The two women were chosen from outstanding nominees from across Alberta and honoured for their exceptional service to Alberta's families and communities. The Human Services Worker Award recognizes two Children and Youth Services employees who have made significant and positive impacts on the lives of Alberta's children, youth and families.

Alberta is privileged to have more than 1,500 human services workers who help children, youth and families in the areas of adoption, foster care, services for children with disabilities, child protection and family enhancement.
