Internet Safety

The Internet has provided access to many interesting things to see and do, but it has also opened the door to some scary places. Sometimes children and youth are exposed to dangerous predators.

Internet luring has become a growing concern in our province and around the world. Research suggests that 50 per cent of youth have received unwanted sexual comments online, and that 25 per cent have been asked by someone they knew only online, to meet in person.
